Do you stuff yourself with comfort food when you feel depressed? Even as kids, you are often taught that food is a reward. Remember when you had to finish a book and your parents would promise you a pint of ice cream afterwards? You get to take the same deed as you age. Stop these emotional binges from happening. You often have all the proof nestling on your thighs, abdomen and butt. So what do you have to do? No, not grab that bag of chips.
Try becoming aware of what you eat. May it be an apple or to as sinful as that decadent chocolate cake. You have to take note of it and not just blame it on something since you were sleep eating. Then when you do acknowledge it, write it down so you would not forget that it did actually happen. Then at the end of the week, review what you have written down and ask yourself why you ate it. This way you would identify the root cause of your emotions that lead to excessive munching.
The first week actually is all about being aware that you are doing something wrong. The second week is the start of the battle which is all about making this decision to stop the munching. Keep in mind that you will fail most especially when your determination to stop is not in full force. Go back to the beginning of being conscious as to why you are doing it.
It is no wonder you can not lose weight if you do not control your emotions. Deal with the issue first and then that will help with the systems. Often you don’t need things like BioTrainer, you just need to lean some self regulation. If you can consistently control your emotions you will be well on your way.
